A Milestone for ACO UK: we are pleased to announce the completion of Phase 1 of the re-development of our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. This pivotal £13m expansion was graciously inaugurated by Susan Lousada, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, The Rt. Hon. the John Gummer, Rt Hon The Lord Deben, and renowned architect Michael Pawlyn. We were delighted to be able to share and to celebrate this milestone with both ACO UK and global employees last week.
The 141,000 sq ft. development marks a transformative change in our operational capabilities. The new warehouse, yard, and production line fortify our capacity—not only to meet immediate industry demands, but also to continue to pioneer innovative solutions in response to the pressing challenges of global water scarcity and climate change impacts.

Die vergangenen zwei Tage gehörten bei uns dem Thema "Rückstauschutz". Die häufiger werdenden Starkregenereignisse im Zuge des Klimawandels lassen auch dieses Thema weiter in den Vordergrund rücken. Damit steigen auch die Anforderungen an Planungs- und Beratungskompetenz.
Der Teilnehmerkreis aus Planern und Verarbeitern durfte sich neben jeder Menge Fachwissen und der praxisnahen Anwendung der Produkte auch über eine Führung im nahe gelegenen Berkwerk Merkers freuen. Vielen Dank an die Kollegen der ACO Haustechnik - wir sind immer gerne bei euch zu Gast! :)

Was ist eigentlich ein Betonpumpensumpf?
Pumpensümpfte tragen einen wesentlichen Teil dazu bei, Überschwemmungen von Kellerräumen zu verhindern. Sie sind dazu am tiefsten Punkt des Entwässerungssystems eines Hauses verbaut. Im Pumpensumpf sammelt sich Wasser, das von einer Pumpe im Schacht dem Abwassersystem zugeführt wird.
Es handelt sich bei Pumpensümpfen also um eine zusätzliche Vorsichtsmaßnahme, die auch bei Starkregen, anfallendem Abwasser oder bei steigendem Grundwasserspiegel verhindert, dass Ihr Keller überschwemmt wird. Anstatt einer Pumpe kann auch eine Hebeanlage hier Platz finden. So muss sie nicht fest einbetoniert werden und kann bei Bedarf leicht getauscht werden.

Hoy hemos celebrado en nuestra sede de Maçanet de la Selva (Girona) las jornadas ACO Water Management, donde hemos contado con la intervención de Mario Ruiz Mateo, líder de proyectos de Acción Climática de Aigües de Barcelona, así como con Albert Gustems Morral, técnico comercial de Ingeniería en ACO Iberia y Clara Muñoz Pou, Product Marketing Manager Separación y Water Management ACO.
El principal tema de debate ha sido la reutilización y saneamiento del agua, donde los expertos de ACO han mostrado los múltiples proyectos que tienen en marcha en este sentido, como el Real Club de Tenis de Barcelona. Las soluciones ACO para conformar Sistemas Urbanos de Drenaje Sostenible (#SUDS) han sido también protagonistas de la jornada.
Además, hemos contado con las intervenciones de Enric Martin, Product Marketing Manager Building Drainage ACO, sobre el drenaje de cubiertas; Sònia Hervás Galeote, responsable de ACO Service y Eduard Herrero, director de Ingeniería ACO.
