El 31 de agosto se publicó en el BOE un Real Decreto que modifica el Reglamento del Dominio Público Hidráulico (#RDPH), manifestando así la necesidad de que las instituciones públicas gestionen eficientemente los recursos hídricos en España e impulsando la creación de planes integrales de gestión del sistema de saneamiento urbano en episodios de lluvias
Algunos de los objetivos de esta reforma son la digitalización de la gestión del agua, así como el fomento del buen estado de las aguas continentales, el uso sostenible de las aguas subterráneas y la lucha contra la contaminación no puntual
La protección de las redes de saneamiento urbanas es uno de los aspectos más importantes del Real Decreto, ya que obliga a instalar los elementos necesarios para reducir la contaminación del agua que llega hasta allí
También fomenta la planificación de las aguas superficiales en zonas con riesgo de inundación, obligando a los proyectos de nueva construcción a adoptar medidas que limiten la aportación de aguas pluviales a los colectores
Para ello, se propone la adopción de técnicas capaces de potenciar la infiltración y el tratamiento de las aguas pluviales en áreas urbanas, promoviendo el diseño de Sistemas Urbanos de Drenaje Sostenible (SUDS)
