Common for animal production is that reducing bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and waste products like ammonia are fundamental to increasing animal health.

Feed and feeding technologies were the main topics today during the meeting with the delegation from South Africa. There were discussed such important areas as storage and grain handling, optimizing feed costs with modern feeding methods, improving animal health with fermented protein, and optimizing production with vitamins and mineral mixes.

Para reutilizar las aguas pluviales para riego y mantenimiento, el residencial Sotavento (Barranquilla, Colombia) ha instalado tanques de tormenta ACO Stormbrixx que permiten almacenar hasta 1.500 m3 de agua. Además, con el fin de tratar estas aguas, se han dispuesto separadores de hidrocarburos ACO Oleopass.
Con este tipo de medidas, se busca contribuir en la reducción de hasta un 60% de los costes destinados a recursos hídricos para usos no potables, como el riego o el mantenimiento de zonas verdes y plazas urbanas. Este tipo de medidas para la reutilización del agua ya se están aplicando en otros países y regiones con un especial interés en reducir el consumo de agua potable y el llamado estrés hídrico a corto plazo.
