How do we channel the water into our paths?
Drainage systems, such as drainage channels or gullies at the roadside (technically called "point drains"), collect the water. 💧
They create a natural barrier between surfaces where runoff might be polluted and sensitive ecosystems 🌱.
These drainage systems come in many sizes, shapes, and load classes – when properly selected, they are ready for any application. ⚙️
Once collected, not a single drop should be lost before it's cleaned, reused, or guided to the right place. That’s why ACO channels have an integrated seal called Sealin.

Besuch einer Schulklasse🙋🏽♀️🙋🏼
Vergangene Woche durften wir eine Schulklasse des Kronwerk Gymnasium aus Büdelsdorf bei uns am Standort empfangen.
Dafür haben zwei Azubis aus dem Marketing zusammen mit einem Marketingkollegen und zwei Kolleginnen der People & Culture Abteilung ein Konzept ausgearbeitet und der Klasse dann vorgestellt. 🗣️
Nach einer kleinen Vorstellung des Unternehmens bekamen die Gäste eine spannende Aufgabe.
Das Thema war Nachhaltigkeit in Bezug auf ACO und unsere Bereiche wie Stadt, Wasser, Mensch und Natur. 🌱🌊🌎
Nachdem alle Gruppen dann ihre tollen Ergebnisse vorgestellt haben, gab es noch einen kleinen Einblick in unseren Showroom, damit sie einige Produkte auch nochmal in „echt“ sehen können. 🫱🏻🫲🏽

How is our water? Polluted water – polluted world. 🌍💧
Our water is under stress. Inputs such as microplastics – for example from tire wear – oils and pharmaceutical residues burden us and our ecosystems 🌱.
In addition, heavy rainfall events are increasing. Water hits sealed surfaces, cannot drain quickly enough, and causes flooding 🌊.
A heavy rainfall event is when, within one second, the amount of 200 bathtubs hits the area of a soccer field.

SDG Scouts 🌍 💧
Vergangene Woche haben 2 Azubis sowie ein ehemaliger Azubi ihre Auszeichnung zu SDG Scouts erhalten. Nach einer dreiteiligen Schulung folgte nun der erstmals letzte Teil mit unserer Rederentim von @sdgscouts .
Wir haben unsere Projektidee vorgestellt und weitere Schritte und Vorgehensweisen besprochen. Nun liegt es in den Händen des Unternehmens und uns Azubis, dieses Projekt umzusetzen und somit einen Teil zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit im Unternehmen umzusetzen. 🌱
Wir freuen uns auf die weitere Zeit und sind gespannt, was aus der Idee am Ende Tolles wird. 🌊☂️

Wir zwei ACO-Azubis aus Reith durften Anfang dieser Woche nach Berlin zur Bestenehrung der Energiescouts reisen, da wir mit unserem Projekt „Reduktion des Wärmeenergiebedarfs durch smarte Heizungsregelung“ den 1. Platz bei der IHK Würzburg-Schweinfurt belegt haben. 🔋✨
Begleitet wurden wir dabei von unserem Werksleiter Herrn Rauthe, der uns bei diesem großartigen Erfolg unterstützt hat. Neben der Ehrung blieb auch genug Zeit, Berlin gemeinsam zu erkunden: vom Brandenburger Tor über den Reichstag bis hin zur Siegessäule – wir haben jede Menge gesehen und erlebt! 🏙️
Wir sind stolz, Teil der Energiescouts zu sein und unseren Beitrag zum Energiesparen bei ACO leisten zu dürfen und danken allen, die uns dabei unterstützt haben! 💪🌱

🏅 Every medal from the ACO Run in Přibyslav tells its own story – because this year, our medals were made from oPET: recycled PET material recovered from the Indian Ocean.
➡️ One medal = approx. 2 PET bottles that didn’t end up back in the ocean.
And there were quite a few – 480 participant medals and 73 winner medals (yes, we have a lot of categories 😅) were made of 95% recycled material. ♻️
We are proud to be part of the cleanocean.run initiative.
Every race that chooses the sustainable route is included in a ranking and receives a certificate showing the number of bottles collected. Here’s ours. 🤗
🌍 We keep on running – our race for a more sustainable world is far from over. 🏃🏻🏃♂️

🌟 Azubi-Update aus Reith! 🌟
Wir, Lea und Helena, Azubis aus Reith bei ACO, hatten die tolle Gelegenheit, zwei Wochen in Rendsburg, dem Hauptsitz von ACO, in den Bereichen Buchhaltung, Controlling, Rechnungsprüfung und Einkauf zu verbringen. 💼✨
Neben den spannenden Einblicken in die Arbeit konnten wir in unserer Freizeit auch Ecken in Eckernförde, Hamburg, sowie Kiel kennenlernen. 🌊🏙️ Es war schön, die Umgebung zu erkunden und neue Orte zu entdecken! 🚶♀️🚶♂️

ACO Family Members at the Bavisela Family Run! 🏃♂️
After their joint appearance at the Belgrade Marathon, our colleagues Boro Šibanić and Ivan Jerman continue their athletic pursuits beyond the borders of our beautiful country.
The Bavisela Family Run is a traditional sporting event held in Trieste, dedicated to all amateur runners and families who want to experience pure sport and fun.
