Wir, Lea und Helena, Azubis aus Reith bei ACO, hatten die tolle Gelegenheit, zwei Wochen in Rendsburg, dem Hauptsitz von ACO, in den Bereichen Buchhaltung, Controlling, Rechnungsprüfung und Einkauf zu verbringen. 💼✨
Neben den spannenden Einblicken in die Arbeit konnten wir in unserer Freizeit auch Ecken in Eckernförde, Hamburg, sowie Kiel kennenlernen. 🌊🏙️ Es war schön, die Umgebung zu erkunden und neue Orte zu entdecken! 🚶♀️🚶♂️
Es war eine super Erfahrung, bei der wir viel Neues gelernt und spannende Einblicke in die verschiedenen Abteilungen bekommen haben. 🚀😊

🌧️💡 Tailor-made siphonic drainage – integrated into Hamburg’s newest landmark!
At the Westfield Hamburg Überseequartier, an impressive metal and glass roof creates a striking architectural centerpiece. However, integrating drainage into the 34 supporting columns posed a unique challenge – one that ACO Haustechnik solved with a customized special solution.
🔹 Location: Hamburg, Überseequartier
🔹 Project: Westfield Hamburg – Mixed-use urban quarter
🔹 Challenge: Limited space within columns, no room for standard components
🔹 Solution: Special stainless steel jet outlets for primary and emergency drainage
🔹 System: Main drainage + emergency drainage 55 mm above primary level
In close collaboration with the structural design team, ACO’s application engineers developed a siphonic drainage system specifically tailored to the roof’s geometry. By combining a primary system with an elevated emergency overflow, the solution ensures reliable drainage even during heavy rainfall. A detailed surface and flow rate analysis enabled precise dimensioning and optimal component adaptation – efficient, compact, and highly effective.
This project demonstrates ACO’s role as a trusted partner in demanding architectural developments, delivering innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of sustainability, design, and performance. A powerful example of forward-thinking urban construction in Hamburg.

Austausch nach Barcelona🌍 🏫
Anfang des Jahres konnte unser Azubi Industriekaufmann Bjarne an einem Auslandsaufenthalt in Barcelona teilnehmen. Dieser wurde vom BBZ RD-ECK und der Feda EDU in Barcelona organisiert.
Auf dem Plan standen 2 Wochen spanischer Berufsschulunterricht und ein dreiwöchiges Unternehmenspraktikum, um die spanische Arbeitswelt kennenzulernen. Der Berufsschulunterricht ergab eine spannende Mischung aus Spanisch, Deutsch und Englisch und war eine gelungene Abwechslung zum deutschen Unterricht.
Im Unternehmen galt es zunächst, die sprachliche Barriere zu überwinden, doch mit aufgeschlossenen Kollegen stellte auch das kein Problem dar. Die Reise wurde von Erasmus+ kofinanziert. ☀️ -
🌍 ACO StormBrixx makes its debut in the Middle East – Successful first installation in Bahrain
Our international team, led by Application Engineer Gunnar Olesen, successfully installed the first ACO StormBrixx HD900 infiltration tank in Riffa, Bahrain. The two-layer system, measuring 3 m x 3.6 m, was efficiently assembled, and the local team received comprehensive training. We were particularly pleased with the positive feedback:

A visit to the Ministry of Works – Bahrain provided an opportunity to discuss future projects and showcase our expertise in stormwater management.
