Cycle Drainage at Highways Expo 23
ACO is ready and set to showcase our new combined Kerb and Drainage solution for cycle lanes at the Birmingham NEC during Highways Expo 23. The KerbDrain CycleKerb not only enhances surface water management of a lane but also improves overall safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

🚀 Ouvrage de rétention des eaux pluviales sur une plateforme logistique
Implantée sur le parc d'activités Angers Est, l'ensemble immobilier de la société SIGMA d’une surface totale de 22 033 m² a nécessité une 2ème phase de travaux avec la création d’un bassin tampon enterré et étanche d’un volume de 100 m3 utile conforme au permis de construire.
Objectif de l’opération : recueillir les eaux pluviales provenant de la cellule 3 et de ses abords.
📌 Le choix de la maîtrise d’œuvre Groupe Essor s’est orienté vers la Structure Alvéolaire Ultra Légère (S.A.U.L.) ACO STORMBRIXX HD600 composée de demi-modules empilables, en Polypropylène, pour le stockage enterré et temporaire des eaux pluviales (rétention, infiltration) et conçue pour supporter les charges roulantes en surface.
Facilement inspectable grâce à des puits de visite et facilement exploitable grâce à sa structure géométrique spécifique permettant d’intervenir dans toutes les directions et à chaque niveau du bassin, le système ACO STORMBRIXX est ensuite entretenu de façon optimale.
Le bassin a été rendu imperméable pour éviter les infiltrations d’eaux vers les eaux souterraines.
📌 De plus dans le but de répondre à la problématique de régulation, une solution garantissant le débit adapté a aussi été installée en aval du bassin de rétention : le limiteur de débit à effet Vortex, ACO Q-BRAKE.
Cette solution assure que les eaux pluviales soient évacuées à un débit contrôlé vers les réseaux urbains et évitent tout risque de débordement.

ACO is pleased to be attending the annual UN Global Compact Network UK, Summit. Hosted in the beautiful and historically significant building of London Guildhall today presents the opportunity for open discussions between like-minded individuals and businesses who are committed to meeting the sustainability challenge.
The day will include thought-provoking panels and fireside chats from leaders in their respective fields. This morning hosted a panel about transitioning to a zero-carbon economy, discussing both the importance and opportunities of the transition and how government, business and civil society must support and collaborate to achieve this milestone.
At ACO we are committed in reaching our own ambitious sustainability goals.

Standard ist nicht gleich Standard!
Der heutige #Weltnormentag weist auf die weltwirtschaftliche Bedeutung von Standardisierungen hin. Normen erleichtern nicht nur die internationale Zusammenarbeit, sondern sind auch bei Themen wie Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit von großer Bedeutung.
Vor allem in den Bereichen Betriebs- und Verkehrssicherheit, Dauerhaftigkeit und Gebrauchstauglichkeit gibt es dennoch signifikante Unterschiede, die durch die betreffende EU-Norm DIN EN 124 nur unzureichend geregelt werden.
