ACO Technologies has launched an industry-first reusable KerbDrain Inlet Plug, designed to help civil and highways contractors save time, reduce costs, and minimise water usage during construction projects.

The KerbDrain Inlet Plug prevents asphalt and debris from entering KerbDrain units during road surfacing, reducing the need for labour-intensive jetting to clear asphalt and debris. During a recent trial at an Oxfordshire Park-and-Ride site, the installation of 1,700 meters of KerbDrain resulted in an estimated saving of nearly £5,000 in post-installation maintenance costs thanks to the use of these plugs.

The Government of Canada is allocating $8.5 million to four #green #construction projects in Quebec, focused on the use of low-carbon Canadian wood to sustainably accelerate building initiatives.

The funding will support a residential development project and research by Les Chantiers de Chibougamau Ltée; a 21-storey mass timber #multifamily building by Samcon Condos Montréal; and the Cree First Nation Of Waswanipi’s new community building. – via Ontario Construction News
