The Tema Port Expansion Project for Meridian Port Services Limited (MPS) is an ambitious $1.5 billion project that will improve Ghana’s trade competitiveness.
The project consists of an artificial island of 97 hectares, a breakwater of 4 km and access channel harbour deep-water berths to accommodate larger vessels with sophisticated port handling equipment.
ACO Systems South Africa is supplying approximately 12.500m of ACO Qmax channels with ductile iron rails.
This solution is helping the contractor to follow the construction chronogram, increasing the installation speed, with a certified solution for F900 load class for ports.

We are busy in all directions!
To keep up with the activity level, we decided to extend our storage area. The construction has been in progress since September, and recently we celebrated that the last wall beam was installed. Now the roof is in place too, and we look forward to see our new 650 sq.m. storage area.

Sposoby radzenia sobie z wodami opadowymi i wykorzystywania ich do życia są na świecie dobrze znane i praktykowane. Prawdą jest jednak, że niektórzy opanowali te umiejętności lepiej. To wynik na pewno większej świadomości, która z kolei pociąga za sobą poczucie odpowiedzialności za środowisko.

Nie bójmy się opadów
Opady nawalne, niejednokrotnie z niszczycielską wręcz siłą są sprawcami m.in. podtopień i powodzi. To szczególne zagrożenie dla miasta, gdy mamy w pamięci choćby walkę wrocławian z żywiołem w roku 1997. Wtedy nie myśleliśmy o niczym innym, jak tylko o tym, żeby woda jak najprędzej wyniosła się jak najdalej stąd. Baliśmy się tym bardziej, że miasto w swojej infrastrukturze nie było gotowe na takie wyzwania.

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Today, on the 6th of October 2018, the Danish Pig Academy is celebrating its 1 year anniversary! ☺ It has been a year full of challenges, but also a year filled with many great events.
We organized several special events focused on certain areas of pig production. We welcomed high-level delegations in cooperation with the Danish and foreign Ministries. We had visitors from France, Belgium, China, Italy, Germany, Japan, Korea, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Serbia, Spain, Poland and many more; and it has been a pleasure seeing you all here at Danish Pig Academy.
At the day of opening 1 year ago, there were 14 companies-members. Today, Danish Pig Academy consists of 22 companies, successfully cooperating to gain a common strength.
We look forward to more exciting events in the coming years and hope to see more guests at the Danish Pig Academy. ☺

Em dias chuvosos, a maior preocupação dos motoristas é a aquaplanagem.
Ocorre quando o automóvel passa sobre a superfície molhada e perde o contato com o solo, devido a camada de água que fica entre os pneus e a pista. Na maioria dos casos, isso acontece por causa da falta de drenagem suficiente nas pistas.
Caso você perceba que seu carro entrou em situação de aquaplanagem, evite virar o volante, acelerar ou frear de uma só vez, essa atitude pode piorar a situação e seu veículo pode até mesmo rodar na pista.
