Por todas essas razões, o sistema de drenagem de águas tem de ser eficiente e adequado a cada uma das zonas do espaço comercial. Por este motivo, na remodelação do centro comercial Mallorca Fashion Outlet (Maiorca, Espanha) foram incorporados canais de drenagem Multidrain da ACO com a imperceptível grelha Brickslot.

Distinsul domn Georgi Feodorovich Voronoi a fost un matematician ucrainean, care în urmă cu mai bine de 100 de ani se distra cu partea teoretică a diagramei care îi poartă azi numele. Principiul matematic urmărește împărțirea optimă a unui plan în jurul unor puncte din acel plan numite puncte generatoare. Modelul astfel rezultat poate fi întâlnit foare des în natură (crăpăturile din solul uscat, modelul nervurilor din frunze sau din aripile libelulelor), dar a fost preluat și în multe aplicații științifice, una dintre cele mai cunoscute fiind cea descoperită de meteorologul american Alfred H. Thiessen pentru a modela prognozele de precipitații.
