This week, we installed our new milk feeding system at a farm here in Denmark. The system gives extra milk to all piglets in a litter through drinking cups. This means that a sow can care for all her piglets herself, so no nursing sows are needed.
The piglets gain an extra kilo than without using the feeding system. Our results show that on average, two more piglets will survive and generally, the whole litter becomes stronger.

A rede de esgoto leva o esgoto das casas e imóveis, como a água utilizada na cozinha e no banheiro, até a estação de tratamento, onde o esgoto é tratado, enquanto a rede de drenagem pluvial leva a água das chuvas diretamente de volta aos rios.
Ambas as redes não devem se misturar, pois a mistura pode causar enormes problemas. Redes clandestinas podem sobrecarregar as redes de esgoto e causar rompimentos da tubulação ou transbordamentos nas residências.
Outro problema grave é a mistura de água da chuva com o esgoto. Se o esgoto estiver muito diluído ele pode comprometer o desempenho do tratamento da água e acabar lançando esgoto nos rios.
Para evitar esses problemas, você pode verificar se as tubulações da sua residência estão corretas. Uma atitude simples, mas essencial para a saúde da sua região.
