Meet Merv and an ACO EzyBrixx modular twin wall plastic pit.
The EzyBrixx pit that Merv is working on in this photograph is (believe it or not) is not the largest of our EzyBrixx pits. These pits are factory assembled to over 2m x 2m in size and are designed to house cables and equipment.
Merv works mostly with our robotic welder, but also specialises in our access cover team working across mild steel manufacturing, Rhinocast access cover assembly and EzyBrixx pit assembly. Always smiling, Merv is a pleasure to work with and his skills make him a valuable member of the ACO family.

A arquitetura moderna portuguesa tem reconhecida tradição em buscar soluções que exploram as virtudes da paisagem, seja integrando, seja tensionando os elementos naturais para criar paisagens outras que resultam da sobreposição da cultura com a natureza. Mas não é apenas a arquitetura moderna que se preocupa com a paisagem. Em Portugal, a produção contemporânea têm mostrado exemplos instigantes de como é possível lidar com o entorno natural, explorando suas potencialidades sem comprometer sua integridade. ACO desenvolveu uma nova linha de embornais amovíveis em ferro fundido para estradas urbanas e rodoviárias com um design que permite a retenção de sólidos e fácil manobrabilidade para manutenção e limpeza. Tanto a grelha como a estrutura dos embornais ACO são de ferro dúctil, um material caracterizado pela sua dureza e durabilidade. A superfície das barras foi projetada com um padrão antiderrapante. Para facilitar a limpeza e manutenção dos poços de visita, eles possuem uma abertura em um dos lados com um orifício para auxiliá-los na elevaçã.

ACO ha desarrollado una nueva gama de imbornales abatibles en fundición para calzadas urbanas y carreteras con un diseño que permite la retención de sólidos y una fácil maniobrabilidad para su mantenimiento y limpieza. Tanto la reja como el marco de los imbornales de ACO están fabricados en fundición dúctil, un material que se caracteriza por su dureza y durabilidad. La superficie de las rejas se ha diseñado con un relieve antideslizante. Para facilitar la limpieza y mantenimiento de las arquetas, cuentan con una abertura en un lateral con hueco de ayuda para su levantamiento.

The Mends Street area of South Perth has recently been redeveloped to improve the transportation links with the city and Perth Zoo. Designers opted for two eye catching sculptures of a frill neck lizard and, pictured, a numbat - a marsupial native to Western Australia. The six-tonne sculptures double as a canopy to give some welcome relief from the Perth sun.
With new pavement finishes throughout the site, designers did not want new electrical and security pits to be an eyesore. The Rhinocast access covers with stainless steel decorative edges allow the cover to be filled with the surrounding pavement material for a seamless finish.
