Wishing Udo Passavant, former owner and managing director of Passavant Werke, a very happy 100th birthday!
First established in 1890, Passavant Werke grew extensively under the ownership and direction of Udo, who took charge in 1952. In 2000, ACO bought Passavant Werke, bringing advanced grease arrestor technology to our company.

Thanks to his courage, his power of persuasion, and irrepressible wealth of ideas, the graduate engineer made the Passavant Group a highly successful company, and a large employer. In the middle of the 1970s, Udo Passavant and Severin Ahlmann were in contact because Passavant was planning to buy ACO. Indeed, the two companies were a perfect match in terms of their products and markets. In the end, things turned out differently. With the take-over of the main part of the Passavant Werke in 2000, they became an indispensable part of the ACO Group today, and had a major influence on our company overall.

100. Geburtstag von Udo Passavant – von Herzen gratulieren wir dem #Bundesverdienstkreuzträger, ehemaligem Chef der Passavant-Werke und #Ehrenbürger der Gemeinde #Aarbergen. Durch seinen Mut, seine Überzeugungskraft und unbändigen Ideenreichtum machte der Diplom-Ingenieur die Passavant Gruppe zu einem großen unternehmerischen Erfolg und sehr wichtigen Arbeitgeber.
Mitte der 70er standen Udo #Passavant und Severin #Ahlmann in Kontakt, um ACO zu übernehmen. Die beiden Unternehmen gehörten in der Tat thematisch eindeutig zusammen. Schließlich kam es anders. Mit der Übernahme eines Großteils der Passavant-Werke im Jahr 2000 wurden diese zu einem heute unverzichtbaren Teil der ACO Gruppe, der uns stark geprägt hat.
