A Dinamarca aprovou um plano para construir uma ilha artificial a 80km da costa no Mar do Norte para atuar como um centro de energia limpa que produz e armazena energia eólica. A ilha, com tamanho equivalente a 18 campos de futebol, será conectada a turbinas eólicas offshore para fornecer energia a 3 milhões de residências, bem como gerar hidrogênio verde para uso em navios, aviação e indústria.

Stainless steel as a material has many environmental benefits, not only in the way that it is used but also in its production process and reusability. Modern and efficient production methods produce less waste and ensure that we minimize the amount of products that get rejected. Any waste that is created has a high scrap value and gets recycled back to the steel producers for reuse, rather than landfill.

W dniu 27 marca odbyło się V Zebranie Zarządu Głównego SARP oraz Rady Procesów SARP. Stowarzyszenie zrzeszające architektów debatowało o zrównoważonych rozwiązaniach architektonicznych dla ochronny środowiska i ekologii. Priorytetem dla SARP jak zawsze są: dbałość o jakość architektury i środowiska, tworzenie warunków do rozwoju twórczości architektonicznej i jej ochrona oraz rozwój warsztatu i zawodu architekta.
Z ramienia ACO Tomasz Lizun podczas debaty zaprezentował nietuzinkowe rozwiązania w zakresie zarządzania wodą oraz kolejną odsłonę wydarzenia beyond.aco.
Architekci, uczestnicy spotkania mieli wyjątkową możliwość zapoznania się wirtualnym miastem ACO City, dzięki czemu mogli poznać innowacyjną platformę, która w intuicyjny sposób prezentuję rozwiązania w zakresie zarządzania wodą dla różnych inwestycji.

Die alte #Brücke über den Bullerbach und das Überflutungsgebiet der Ems zwischen Meppen und Versen war nicht mehr tragfähig. Nach dem Rückbau entstand eine neue, 211 Meter lange #Flutmuldenbrücke für eine hochwasserfreie Verkehrsverbindung. Die Brücke hat so gut wie kein Längsgefälle, weshalb hier eine smarte #Entwässerungslösung gefragt war, die anfallendes #Regenwasser schnell von der Straße direkt in die Flutmulde unter der Brücke leitet. Die Entscheidung fiel auf die #Hohlbordrinne ACO KerbDrain Bridge. Sie sorgt für eine schnelle #Entwässerung der Brücke und reduziert Aquaplaning sowie das Hochspritzen des Wasser auf Fuß- und Radweg.

Drainage is an often forgotten, yet crucial, contributor to the overall level of hygiene of a food and beverage processing facility.
If drains are not specified at the design stage, the product selection decision is often left to the contractor, who (without guidance) might choose products like the one pictured.
Whilst these products may have a cheaper upfront cost, the on-going maintenance and replacement costs across the lifecycle of the facility can make these ‘cheap’ solutions a real drain on time and money (sorry – we couldn’t help ourselves!).
