Las numerosas catástrofes naturales nos dan prueba del real cambio climático que estamos viviendo, creando un efecto domino de consecuencias que afectan la vida en todas sus formas y entornos. El 24 de octubre se celebra el día internacional del Cambio Climático para recordar y crear consciencia sobre sus efectos colaterales. Cada uno puede aportar su grano de arena en este proceso de transformación medioambiental, y desde ACO lo hacemos ofreciendo soluciones reales para gestionar las aguas residuales y pluviales, como Stormbrixx. Este sistema de tanques de tormenta retiene el agua de la lluvia recogida por diversos canales de drenaje para posteriormente suministrarla de forma controlada a la red de alcantarillado o de almacenarla para su uso posteri. Optar por sistemas urbanos de drenaje sostenible puede ser una forma de atenuar posibles complicaciones. Es importante actuar ya, ¿te unes a este movimiento?

As numerosas catástrofes naturais dão-nos provas da verdadeira mudança climática que estamos a viver, criando um efeito dominó de consequências que afectam a vida em todas as suas formas e ambientes. O Dia Internacional das Alterações Climáticas é celebrado a 24 de Outubro para recordar e sensibilizar para os efeitos colaterais das alterações climáticas. Todos podem contribuir com o seu grão de areia neste processo de transformação ambiental, e na ACO fazemo-lo oferecendo soluções reais para a gestão de águas residuais e pluviais, tais como Stormbrixx. Este sistema de tanques pluviais retém a água da chuva recolhida por vários canais de drenagem e depois fornece-a de forma controlada à rede de esgotos ou armazena-a para utilização posterior. A opção por sistemas de drenagem urbana sustentáveis pode ser uma forma de mitigar potenciais complicações.

Hoy se celebra el Fórum Sanitop 2022 en el recinto ferial Exponor de Oporto (Portugal), una jornada centrada en compartir ideas y buscar respuestas a los retos que plantea la sostenibilidad en el sector de la construcción.

As part of the 2022 Festival of Landscape Architecture, ACO was proud to sponsor Sunday’s Archerfield Wetlands Parkland tour led by Cass Gaisford (Brisbane Sustainability Agency) and Clare Hanna (Brisbane City Council). 🚶♀️🚶♀️
This half-day guided tour welcomed Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA)’s members to Archerfield Wetlands Parkland (part of the Oxley Creek Transformation) - 150 hectares which contains a variety of habitats including eucalypt forest, open grassland, freshwater wetlands and creeks. On the way back to South Bank, the tour proceeded to the Ecosciences Precinct where Greg Facey spoke about some of the ACO surface water management products located along the walking paths.

Good genetics and especially Danish pig genetics helps to increase the number of piglets in a litter. However, not all piglets grow according to plan. Their chance of survival depends on getting the right feed and enough nutrients. To increase the survival rate of a litter, you need to ensure that all piglets have access to fresh milk. 🐖

This week, Danish Pig Academy had the honor to represent the Danish solutions for sustainable pig farming at the Conference in Novi Sad. The Conference was part of the Nordic-Serbian Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture, Solutions for Serbia 2022-2023.
The key focus points of our presentation included such important areas as genetic innovations in Danish pig breeding, animal welfare, the importance of correct feed for successful pig production, feeding systems with lower impact on the environment, flooring solutions, and slurry technology.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the Embassy of Denmark in Serbia for giving us the opportunity to share our expertise. We hope our presentation was interesting and valuable for all the participants. We look forward to long-term cooperation, where we can continue spreading Danish agricultural models and best practices.

Baustellenreport 🚧 Die "Europa-Autobahn" - Neubau der nördlichen Autobahnbrücke A3 bei Burgweinting abgeschlossen
Der Neubau der nördlichen Autobahnbrücke auf Höhe Burgweinting ist abgeschlossen. Der Bau verlief unter laufendem Verkehr. Zentimeter für Zentimeter wurden im Taktschiebeverfahren die neuen Brückenbauteile auf sogenannte Verschubwippen über die Gleise gezogen. Eine wahrhaftige Ingenieursleistung. 💪
Für eine effektive Entwässerung der Fahrbahn über zwei Ebenen sorgt der offenporige Asphalt (OPA). Neben der Oberfläche muss zudem der porige Asphalt entwässert werden. So fand schon in der frühen Brückenplanung der Einsatz einer kappenintegrierten Entwässerung Beachtung. Ausschlaggeben dafür war die hohe Entwässerungsleistung, wenige Durchdringungen und die zweite Entwässerungsebene für den offenporigen Asphalt (OPA). Diese Eigenschaften umfasst das Entwässerungssystem der Hohlbordrinne ACO KerbDrain Bridge. Zudem finden die Hohlbordrinnen erstmals in der aktuellen Ausgabe der „REwS“, der Richtlinie für die Entwässerung von Straßen, Ausgabe 2021 Beachtung.
