No final de 2018, a ACO realizou uma consultoria e avaliação completa do sistema de drenagem da Fábrica de Sorvetes da Kibon, umas das mais antigas da Unilever, localizada em Jaboatão dos Guararapes.
Dentre as questões avaliadas, estava a necessidade de uma proteção para as paredes isotérmicas, impactadas por empilhadeiras.
Para isso, foi utilizado o rodapé higiênico ACO Kerb Pb 30, fabricado em concreto polímero, com altura de 30 cm.
Essa, juntamente com outras soluções apresentadas, garantiriam um ambiente ainda mais higiênico e livre de contaminações.

Em 2010 uma união do Banco do Brasil com a WWF-Brasil, a Agência Nacional de Águas e a Fundação Banco do Brasil, criaram Programa Água Brasil, que visa restaurar florestas próximas à bacias hidrográficas e apoiar pequenos produtores rurais e novos modelos de negócios sustentáveis, além de mobilizar e conscientizar as pessoas para causas socioambientais.
Entre 2016 e 2019, o programa já ajudou diretamente mais de 2mil pessoas e 2,4milhões de pessoas indiretamente, e aumentou em 15% a produção de água do país através da restauração de 194,75 hectares de terras.

MEET THE TEAM!
Darrall is our longest serving employee, starting work at Polycrete Australia in 1992 in the polymer concrete production facility and officially joining the ACO family in 1994 when ACO acquired Polycrete Australia.
Darrall has seen the company move through three Western Sydney premises – from Homebush, to Westmead and finally to Emu Plains, where our Australian head office is now located.
In Darrall’s twenty five years with the company, our polymer concrete range has grown exponentially, technology has transitioned and production output soared to manufacture and supply products to the Australian, South East Asian and Pacific Island design communities.
Outside of work, Darrall enjoys fixing up old Holden cars, skiing and taking his boat out on the Nepean River.
Here’s to the next 25 years and beyond!

Green roofs are gaining popularity in cities around the world as buildings are designed to be increasingly environmentally sensitive.
Green roofs are one element of a buildings design that can help to prevent the heat island effect and provide outdoor community areas for inner-city residents.
A challenge with green roofs is drainage. It’s important to remove water to prevent damage to the building’s structure, whilst maintaining a natural ecosystem for plants to grow and thrive.
ACO has an innovative solution to combat this: ProfiLine. It’s a surface AND subsurface drainage system that captures surface water and subsurface water through perforations in the side wall of the channel. This design allows water to move into the channel through soil, gravel and sandy areas, without the need for ag pipe systems. The channels simply click together, so if the community landscaped garden is reconfigured into a community veggie garden, the drainage can easily be reconfigured, too.
On World Green Roof Day, we’re so excited to see green roofs continue to grow (pardon the pun) in popularity and are thrilled to be part of the solution.

No Brasil existem leis que determinam que resíduos tóxicos, altamente poluentes, nocivos à saúde e radioativos devem ser descartados corretamente a fim de não influenciarem o meio ambiente de forma nociva.
A coleta e transporte desses resíduos produzidos, geralmente em ambientes industriais, são responsabilidade do estado, e regidos pelo Conselho Nacional de Meio Ambiente (Conama), que verifica como o seu tratamento deve ser feito e quais as normas técnicas para seu deslocamento. Este feito, com parceria da Agência Nacional de Transporte, determina que as empresas também devem seguir diversas normas para evitar o impacto desse lixo no meio ambiente.
Além disso, os resíduos também passam pelas Normas da ABNT, que visam verificar se esses materiais podem ou não passar por reaproveitamento ou reciclagem.

Ein #Bürogebäude auf dem Wasser: Das „Floating Office Rotterdam (FOR)“ soll höchsten Nachhaltigkeitsansprüchen genügen und wird überwiegend aus Holz erbaut. Ein begrüntes Dach 🌿 sowie ein Schwimmbecken 🏊♀️ in der Maas vervollständigen das Konzept. Das neue #Gebäude wird zukünftig der Organisation Global Center on Adaption (GCA) als Hauptsitz dienen. Der Bau beginnt in diesem Frühjahr.
