ACO Inotec in #Neustadt an der Weinstraße – die Stadt, in der nicht nur #Wein 🍇 sondern auch #Wasser fließt 💧
1971 wurde der #Speyerbach, der früher von West nach Ost durch die Altstadt-Gassen floss, kanalisiert und fortan unter der Stadt hindurchgeführt. Das Ziel des Neustädter Projekts „Wasser in die Stadt“ ist es, in der historischen Stadt in der pfälzischen Weinregion neben dem Wein auch das Wasser wieder fließen zu lassen.
Zusammen mit @hofmann_roettgen und @berlinersteincontor unterstützt #ACOInotec die Rückkehr des Speyerbachs in das Neustädtische Stadtbild in der #Fußgängerzone der #Laustergasse mit unseren individuell angefertigten #Einspeiserinnen, #Rücklaufrinnen und #Schlitzrinnen.
Seit der Fertigstellung im Juni 2021 verschönert der neue Bachlauf nicht nur das Stadtbild, sondern ist auch ein beliebter Treffpunkt für Einheimische und Besucher.

ACO Inotec in Neustadt an der Weinstraße - the city where not only wine 🍇 but even #water flows 💧
In 1971, the #Speyerbach, which used to flow from west to east through the streets of the old town, was channeled and has since been routed underneath the town. The aim of the city project "Water into the City" is to make the water flow through the historic city center again.
Together with @hofmann_roettgen and @berlinersteincontor, #ACOInotec supports the revival of the Speyerbach to the Neustadt urban landscape in the #pedestrian zone of #Laustergasse with our individually manufactured inlet channels, drainage channels and slot channels.
Since its completion in June 2021, the new stream not only brightens up the cityscape, but is also a popular meeting place for locals and visitors.

Copenhagen's Climate Quarter - The #green #heart of #copenhagen 🌳
ACO Danmark @aco.dk supported the transformation of Copenhagen's Sankt Kjelds Plats and Bryggervangen into a #sustainable and #biodiverse #neighbourhood where residents and visitors can take a deep breath in the Danish capital.
ACO’s modern drainage techniques for the square put #nature in the #spotlight and increase the #biodiversity in the city.
Our ACO Multiline linear drainage channels are used to #collect and #transport #rainwater from the pavements and streets. Here we work with the so-called “first flush” method, with which we direct the first dirty rainwater on the roadway into the sewer. Within the “second flush”, the subsequent clean water leads to seepage into the many green areas of the city.
Our drainage concept is an important part of Copenhagen's Climate Quarter initiative focusing on a #green #city center and at the same time supports Copenhagen's strategy for heavy rainfall events.

Für gesunde Lebensräume sind #Bäume unverzichtbar 🌳
Der heutige #Tag des #Baumes ist ein perfekter Anlass, um sich die Wichtigkeit unserer grünen Freunde einmal vor Augen zu führen: Sie sind nicht nur schön anzusehen, sondern filtern auch Schadstoffe aus der Luft, spenden Schatten, liefern Sauerstoff, verringern den Lärm und bieten Vögeln und Insekten wertvollen Lebensraum. Doch insbesondere in der Stadt haben es Bäume nicht immer leicht. Bodenverdichtungen und Anfahrschäden sind nur zwei Faktoren, die ihnen im städtischen Raum zusetzen.
Mit unseren #Baumrosten und #Baumschutzgittern tragen wir dazu bei, den Lebensraum des Baumes in der Stadt zu erhalten: Während die Gitter den Stamm vor Beschädigungen schützen, sorgt der #Baumschutzrost dafür, dass der Wurzelbereich vor einer Verdichtung bewahrt wird und eine ausreichende Sauerstoffzufuhr sowie Durchlüftung des Wurzelbereichs gewährleistet ist.

Today's #day of #trees is a perfect occasion to remind ourselves of the importance of our green friends: Not only are they beautiful to look at, but they also filter pollutants from the air, provide shade, supply oxygen, reduce noise, and offer valuable habitat for birds and insects. But trees don't always have it easy, especially in the city. Soil compaction and collision damage are just two factors that affect them in urban areas.

Ready, Set, Go is now the motto for the students of the Tostedt schools and athletes of the local sports clubs.
In the process of renovating the sports facility in Tostedt, in Lower Saxony, which was built in the 1980s, we worked together with H. J. Weitzel GmbH & Co. KG to install our ACO Sport #trough gutters and #concrete edging slabs. With our products, we not only ensure #drainage, but also prevent uncontrolled grass and weed growth from invading the synthetic surfaces of the sports facility. In this way, we protect the running track from destruction by roots. We are pleased with the people of Tostedt about the #renewal of their #sports #field and wish them lots of fun with their #sports.

#ACO #Service auf Tour – ein Arbeitstag am Meer 🌅 Unsere ACO #Servicetechniker hatten letzte Woche einen #Wartungseinsatz auf der ostfriesischen Insel Borkum im Caritas Gesundheitszentrum / Fachklinik Helena am Meer. Schon auf der 2-stündigen Überfahrt mit der Fähre konnten unsere Kollegen Thomas und Luca den Sonnenaufgang genießen. Vor Ort haben sie eine #Wartung der vorhandenen #Pumpstationen und des #Fettabscheiders durchgeführt. 🔧 Nach getaner Arbeit blieb noch kurz Zeit für einen Strandspaziergang - so macht Arbeit doch Spaß!

#ACO #Service on tour – a working day by the sea 🌅 Last week, our ACO #service technicians had a #maintenance assignment on the island of Borkum at the Caritas health center / Helena am Meer specialist clinic. On the 2-hour ferry crossing, our colleagues Thomas and Luca could enjoy the sunrise. On site, they performed a #maintenance of the existing #pumpstations and the #separator 🔧 After the work was done, there was still time for a short walk on the beach - this is how work is fun!

The emerging African country is well-known for its cocoa agriculture and trading. #Cocoa farming is mostly carried out by small farmers and is one important part of the economy. The majority of cocoa beans grown and harvested in Ghana are shipped through the port of Tema. The #harbour is the economical heart of the country and leading container hub for trade and industry in West Africa by handling about 80% of the countries imports and exports.
ACO supports efficient operations at the Port of Tema with our #innovative drainage solutions. On large areas such as ports, #stormwater can quickly lead to very high flow rates of several hundred liters of water per second, especially during wet season. Our ACO DRAIN® Qmax 900 was installed along the 1.400m quay of the port to handle the #heavy #rainfall during Ghana’s rainy season, which requires a sufficient hydraulic buffer capacity. In this way, ACO assists the uninterrupted operation of the port of Tema in Ghana, and therefore, encourages the #local #economy and the distribution of cocoa beans and other goods to the rest of the world 🌍

Der Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz ist ein innerstädtischer Treffpunkt für #alle – für Düsseldorfer, Besucher, Kinder und Künstler. Auch #Skater und #Tänzer machen den Platz mit seinem kulturellen Flair zur ihrer Bühne. Wie ein Tanz wirken die geschwungenen Linien des @duesseldorfer.schauspielhaus, was beispielsweise Tänzer @flockeyocscor gleich in die Realität umsetzte: https://youtu.be/3SxAf9cM5KQ (link in story & bio).
Genau diese geschwungenen, ästhetischen Linien des Tanzes nehmen auch die ACO Inotec Entwässerungssysteme auf. Gemeinsam mit Landshaftsarchitekten vom @studio_gruengrau aus Düsseldorf wurde die individuell gestaltete #Linienentwässerung mit radialen #Schlitzrinnen entworfen, gefertigt und installiert. Schon während der zweijährigen Bauphase hat die neuentwickelte Schlitzrinne die Entwässerung sichergestellt. Nach Fertigstellung des Bauprojektes im Frühjahr 2021 ist die #Edelstahl Schlitzrinne nun Teil des architektonischen Gesamtwerkes mit seinem hochmodernen Charme inmitten einer #kulturellen Begegnungsstätte.

ACO Inotec develops #individual #solutions for the #drainage of Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz in front of the #theatre in #Düsseldorf 🎭
Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz is an inner-city meeting place for everyone - for locals, visitors, children and artists. Skaters and dancers turn the square into their stage. The curved lines of the theatre look like a dance, which dancer Flockey Ocscor, for example, immediately translated into reality: https://youtu.be/3SxAf9cM5KQ.
Exactly these curved, aesthetic lines of the dance are shown by the ACO Inotec drainage systems. Together with the landscape architectures of Studio Grüngrau from Düsseldorf, the individually designed #line drainage with radial #slot channels were designed, manufactured and installed. After completion of the construction project in spring 2021, the #stainlesssteel slot channels are now part of the overall architectural appearance with its modern charm in the middle of a #cultural meeting place.

From plastic waste to sustainable products - We have received the "Blauer Engel" environmental award for our environmentally friendly and sustainable ACO Gravel Guard eco and ACO Self® Gravel Grid.
